The Soul of Education is the Education of the Soul.
Pope Pius XI
Academics, being able to read and think and reason, are fundamental to fully understanding and participating in our faith. Educating today’s youth is my passion and educating their soul is my privilege. It is my honor to continue this mission as an Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher and a Math Instructor for students in grades 6 through 8. May God and the families of MMR continue to allow me to ADD joy, SUBTRACT sorrows, MULTIPLY good deeds and know the ABSOLUTE VALUE of being a Catholic School Educator.
The joy of being a Catholic School Educator is all of the opportunities that I have had over the years. I began my career with a BS in Education from Temple University and certification in Elementary Education, teaching 6th grade at Saint William School in Philadelphia. I continued my education at various colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area through grants and connections I made with other educational leaders who were Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary or Sisters of Saint Joseph. Along the way I obtained my certification in Middle School Mathematics and honed my craft. I continue to serve on the AOP Mathematics Committee and enjoy doing presentations in mathematics and technology.
I am looking forward to this year and helping the students entrusted to my care to become mathematically proficient students who find joy in the art and science of mathematics!
